Adobe audition has cut the background music from radio jingles from my Tascam Mixcast. How do I fix this?

I have to say that Audition is notoriously good at recording exactly what it's been sent in the way of audio. How have you been importing the audio?

I have a Tascam Mixcast 4 with soundpads. While recording on a stereo track
in Adobe. I pressed a sound pad for a jingle. The vocals recorded. However
Adobe cut the background music from jingle.

I'm afraid that I don't quite see how that can be, as Audition has no control whatsoever over what is being sent from your Mixcast. As a suggestion initially, can you try exactly the same thing with Audacity (or any other recording software) and see what happens then?
