Whenever I go to save or press any tab on the header Adobe Auditions tend to lag or freeze and run slow. It does pretty well for the most part just certain operations make it run slow I have an HP intel Corei3 8th gen processor, 930GB of space, 8GB of RAM  Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2208 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s).

Is my computer not compatible?

I'm also experiencing this issue. When I use a menu bar item such as File, to save, or to access options on the Multitrack menu, Adobe Audition sometimes freezes for a minute or more. I had a similar problem with After Effects, where the program would freeze for over a minute when using the menu bar. Support identified a bug related to the character panel in After Effects as the cause. Is there a similar known issue with a specific panel in Audition that we should close to prevent these slowdowns?

You haven't mentioned what OS you are using. If it's W11 I'd be a bit suspicious of that, but in general computer apps slow down when they are trying to do too many things at the same time with the other things demanding priority. Stuff like Wifi polling and antivirus software are often primary suspects here.

What SteveG is saying is to disable all but the essentials so that Audition is not distracted
Additionally, some more RAM can't hurt
