It is many years since I used AA3 synced with MTC. But it did work pretty reliably then.
What is the source of the MTC? What is Audition doing when it crashes? Are you just playing back synced or trying to record?

The MTC source is a tascam dp 32 which works fine with 3 other different
software applications.
When I start playback on the tascam dp 32 when it works it's fine1percent
of time. When it doesn't work the screen freezes saying Windows is looking
for a solution to this problem and I have to reboot the whole computer to
get back to AA3.

But what is Audition 3 doing when it crashes? Are you recording one or several tracks from the DP32? What is your actual workflow using the Tascam and Audition? Sorry for all the questions but we need more info to see what might be crashing Audition and if there is any work around to bypass the problem.

I'm just pressing play on the Tascam DP 32 to see if it will even start and
everytime I do it it crashes from time to time from a fresh start up it
might work. I just slave Adobe edition Let it wait for the signal from the
DP 32 through my Tascam 122 sound card which is showing signal being
emitted and soon as I press play audition crashes. And this is all with
midi time code

But what are you trying to do with Audition synchronised to the DP32? If it is just file transfer there are better ways of doing it rather than playing back tracks via analogue outs to ins.
