Adobe Audition/Premier Pro is Not Picking Up Any Audio From Any Mic

Hi all,

I cannot get either my built in mic or my audio interface mic to input audio into any Premier Application. I can get any other application to accept my mics but Adobe will not pick up any mic. I have allowed the PC to allow all apps to use the microphone in privacy settings to no avail and I have set up all the inputs and outputs correctly in Audition. I have all the settgins right on my PC to my knowledge. When I go to record it picks up absolutely nothing, there are no wavelengths. I've spent hours now trying to get it to work but it simply will not.

Zoom provide an ASIO driver for H series, and that should work better with Audition, which is fundamentally an ASIO product anyway. MME drivers are a Windows basic product requirement, but  are always subject to being overruled by anything the OS wants to do, and far from ideal. The ASIO driver bypasses most of the OS, so is far more likely to work, quite frankly.

On the other hand, you are not alone in having difficulty with getting Zoom products to work as interfaces. I have a Zoom H4N here that is flatly refusing to work with Windows 10 at all. Fortunately that doesn't matter very much, but the reasons for it misbehaving are as yet far from clear...

Hi I am having the same issue, no audio from the built in mic or from my H6 interface. I'm using an iMac running Catalina 10.15.1. Is there an ASIO driver solution for mac? I am truly stumped.

What audio interface are you trying to use? Can you show us initially a screen-grab of your hardware settings in Audition?

I am using a Zoom H5 with a Rode NTG-3 as an interface. The hardware settings are shown above. I also added apicture to the original question that is easier to see.
