I am working on a project in adobe audition and want to split my workstation horizontally with the video on top taking up around 30% of my screen and the multi track section taking up 70% of my screen below.
Once I have set this up and press play on my project the video automatically adjusts in size (usually expands) rather than staying locked at the size I set it up at. Is there a way of locking this so I don't have to keep adjusting it after or during playback?
The expanding video consequently causes the multi track to be significantly reduced in size which I don't want.
Thanks

All the options there are for adjusting the video display are in Edit>Preferences>Video. I would have thought that something in there might work... 😉

Thanks,
I've had a look but can't seem to find anything specifically for locking the stations in position...

You haven't said whether this is on a Mac or a PC, but I've just tried it on a PC, and everything stays exactly where I put it, and doesn't alter when you start playing, or anything like that - it remains locked at the size I set it to.
But... I am aware though that there has been the occasional report about Audition windows resizing themselves when they shouldn't, but it definitely only happens to a few users, and appears not to be easily reproducible. If you could provide a video screen-grab of what happens when you have this problem, that would be useful. The other thing to try of course is to set up everything the way you want it, and then create a new workspace for that layout, and see if that makes any difference...

It is a PC and not a Mac.
I will take a screen grab to show what happens shortly!

Works here with no issues. Do you have a multi-monitor system?

Okay, two things: firstly, have you experimented with any of the settings in Preferences, just to see if it makes any difference at all? Secondly, the one setting that we know that makes a difference to the way screen re-draws happen is the one in Preferences>General that says 'Use hardware acceleration for drawing (restart required)'. Either take the check out, or put it in, depending upon what's there now. If none of this makes any difference, we'll have to kick this upstairs to the exalted heights of dev-land...

Thanks again for your suggestion Steve.
I have just tried this and restarted my machine but unfortunatley it is still expanding and doesn't seem to have made a difference. It's just a slight inconvenience that makes my lose my place on the multi-track session and burns up time.
I have however just tried undocking the video section and now have it floating around which seems to be working (so far) as it has nowhere to expand into when I play my project.
I'll work like this until there is some sort of fix!
Thanks again!
Dan

I am having a similar problem. I set up a workspace and shortly after, the side panels expand. I usually just click on reset the workspace and it returns to normal. I've tried saving it as a new workspace and the same thing happens.
it happens when I am using the Statistics or one of the audio processes.
Thanks
