Just wondering if anyone can advise me on how to remove the interviewer's intrusive 'umm' and 'yes' which cut right over the interviewee speaking. I just can't see what I need to erase in the spectral waveform. It seems that the frequency and volume of her voice is too close a match to the interviewee's. Or am I wrong? Any advice greatly appreciated.
I don't think you'll be able to fix that. As you say, it's completely intrusive and somthering. With that particular segment I'd be more inclined to just cut that bit out completely. I don't think you'll lose anything significant in the content, but it will certainly get rid of the intrusion. I've appended what I'd do with it. The 'yes' would be a lot easier to deal with, as it's not covering the interviewee.

Hi Steve
Thanks again for this advice. You are right, it doesn't detract much from the content to cut out the section with the intrusive umm and it is really helpful to know for sure that a repair in this case isn't really possible.
Many thanks,
Emma
