Album Art for podcast available in multitrack for export to mp3

I edit a million podcasts and I love that I can template my id3 data so that when I export it's part of the file. But it drives me crazy that I have to export to an mp3 and then open that mp3 to add album art to it.

Is there not a way to add the art to the multitrack and just let it sit there and then add it when exporting the mp3? This would save a ton of time and also add a feature that could give Audtion an advantage over other editors. Many people own 3rd party software to add their id3 and art. This would eliminate that if they used audition.

Maybe this works now but I cant figure it out if it does.

Thank you

This would be an easy win. It works in PreSonus Studio One by allowing artwork to be associated with a project's metadata, then including the artwork in an MP3 export. It's a real time saver. I can see the Album Art field in Audition's ID3 metadata tab, but not being able to load art in at this point is very annoying. (I don't really care that the art can't be included in WAV exports, etc.)

It works fine in Waveform view (it won't work in Multitrack because that doesn't use MP3 files, so has no access to them directly). If you open an MP3 file and go to the ID3 Metadata tab, you get an option for Album Art, and on the right of it a 'browse' button. Use this to locate your file:

Album art mp3.JPG

Yes this is only available for use with MP3 files.
