Hello All,

I seem to have lost access to the "Audio Gain" knob in the Edit View in Audobe Aution 3.  We have several versions of AA3 at our radio group, and this functionality is available in the other versions of the software.  We are currently running identical versions in each of our production rooms, but I don't have the "Audio Gain" functionality in one of our rooms.  I seem to remember running into this years ago, and it's a setting/checkbox to add it.  Please help!  It is so much easier than "normalizing" each of rogue transients!

Thank You!

Gainless in Alabama,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the "Audio Gain knob" but, assuming oyu mean the little HUD which allows for gain to be applied, it becomes active in AA3, for me at least, once I highlight a section of audio.  See the attached screenshot.

Yep you're right, I wasn't sure the name of it.  I lost it years ago, and knew it was a "check box" kind of thing.  I just found it, thank you for your help!

View>Show HUD  (Head Up Display). Yes, this could perhaps be better named!

@SteveG_AudioMasters_  does that "option" exist in AA3?

Checking on my installation I think the option is actually View>On clip UI.  (It needs to be ticked, but the HUD is visible only when a section of audio is highlighted, at least it is for me!)

You're correct, of course! I should have remembered that AA3 was different. It was confusing calling it On-Clip, because most people associated clips with Multitrack view, but I don't think that the current name for it is much, if any, better. The 'heads-up' thing isn't really correct in the present version either, because you can choose whether it pops up, or is there all the time. There must be a better name for it - just can't think of it at the moment...
