Hi, I have a podcast and have been using audition for months, only recently a glitch started in the audio throughout the recording. I havent done anything diferently so I'm not sure what could be causing it, however it happens every time now.

I am recording with my macbook microphone directly on audition (not an imported file).

Here is a sample of the audio with the glitch - the language spoken is in portuguese but the glitch is obvious with or without understanding the language.

I don't know if this is a problem with the way i am recording or something with the settings in auditon, any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Veronica

The thing about Audition is that it is notorious for recording exactly what it's sent. And there are no settings that will affect that semi-randomly, and indeed only one setting that will affect it at all; Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware and it's either Latency or I/O Buffer Size, depending upon what driver you're using (it's a Mac so I can't tell). Anyway, try increasing the size/latency figure.

If that doesn't work, you will have to find out what's taking a very serious chunk out of the processing power available to you in the machine.
