Audition 1.5 Windows 7 - Do you want this program from an unknown publisher to make changes to your computer

I've been using Adobe Audition 1.5 for many years. It has always had the following nagging problem. When I start it, Windows pops up a window asking if I want to allow this program from an unknown publisher to make changes to my computer. I have to click Yes each time.

I have updated to the latest version of Audition, but the user interface is so different that I'd prefer to use 1.5. But I'm still stuck with the Windows popup. How do I stop the popup from coming up?

AA 1.5 on a Win 7 PC doesn't normally show that problem. I still have it running on this Win 7 PC with no such problems. When Audition opens it saves var

However it may be down to what permissions were given when you first installed AA 1.5. Try running Audition as Administrator and see if it does the same thing. To do so right click on the Audition 1.5 icon and on the drop down menu click on 'Run as Administrator'. if this temporarily stops the popup then you may have to find a way to alter Windows permissions for AA 1.5.

If your copy of AA1.5 was sourced legally then you should have nothing to worry about.  Since AA1.5 was released 12 years ago the methods of digital signatures etc. has changed greatly since then.

However, if it was a cracked copy, then you're on your own.

I have a legal copy, complete with the CD. Am I still on my own?

My memory of that screen is that there's a box to check to "not show this again" or turn off "show every time".

Failing that, this procedure might be helpful.  How to bypass the security warning "Unknown Publisher" with the checkbox "Always Ask Before Opening ...

Unfortunately, there's no "don't show this again". I did go to that page, but I didn't have any success. I didn't do any registry changes because I'm not comfortable with doing that. Anyway, I'm just going to give up on this and live with the annoying messages.
