Audition 2018 unusable. Cannot reinstall 2017.

Audition 2018 is unusable. It consistently lock up while recording. Because if this, I attempted to go back to 2017.

Despite telling the installer NOT to remove previous versions, Audition 2017 would not launch and said it had to be reinstalled. When I tried to run the 2017 uninstaller, the link to the uninstaller was dead, because the 2018 install had deleted the 2017 uninstaller.

I deleted the 2017 folder from Applications, hoping to reinstall 2017 from scratch.

However, Audition 2017 is not listed in "Other Versions" in the CC installer. The most recent version available is Audition 6.0. Previous versions of Audition were always available in CC. Now they are not. I am essentially screwed, with no way to go back to 10 or even 9.

This is on macOS 10.13.

I attempted to use the direct download link here: Download Creative Cloud apps.

This did not work. When running the installer, it says the installer is damaged.

    Hi Mwdiers,

Sorry for the trouble. Please try that link again (we updated it) and try installing Audition CC 2017.

If you see any error or warning message, attach a screenshot and we will try to help.

    Thanks,

Same problem. Is this an issue running the installer on High Sierra? Audition 2017 was working fine on HS before I installed the 2018 upgrade.

I took the additional step of verifying the .DMG using Disk Utility to check for corruption. It came up clean.

    Sorry for this hassle, Mwdiers.

Let me check this internally & I will get back to you.

    Thanks for your patience.
