Audition 2020 frequent crashes on start and close

Running on a 2015 iMac 27inch Retina on Mojave (10.14.6). About half the time I open the app, the splash screen hanges and I have to force quit.   When the application does open successfully, I'll do my work, and then when I go to close the app, it hangs on close requiring that I force quit. 

 

Any idea what's going on with this?

No, but there are two things you can do. The first is to do what it says here: Audition Crashed - now what? If you post the log file here (cut and paste if into the thread), it might be obvious. The second is to try downloading the current beta version from the CC app and see if the same thing happens. This fixes at least one issue with Multitrack view anyway, and the only difference between this and the release version is that usage is monitored.
