I use Audition on a daily basis and usually have multiple audio files open. I need to copy a sound effect, and paste it into a voice over recording. In previous versions of Audition, I would open up my voice over wav as well as the sound effects wavs. When I needed to copy a sound effect and paste it into the voice over, I would use "command ~" to switch between the open audio files/windows.
I just updated to CC 2017 today, and that command no longer works. I also can't find anything in the key commands that sounds like it would duplicate this behavior. It's going to be massively frustrating to not have a quick key command to switch between open files, and I'll have to revert to using an older version. I was hoping that CC 2017 would have solved the performance issues with Audition graphically during playback on a retina display. I still have to open it in low resolution mode, and it's still buggy. Maybe upgrading OS X to Sierra will fix that, but for now my workplace hasn't been able to update the OS yet.
If anyone has any way to switch between open files with the keyboard, please let me know!
Keyboard shortcuts>File>Switch to next file? Right at the bottom of the list. It probably doesn't work quite the way it used to though (although I didn't use it previously, so I'm not sure) but now, if you assign it to a keystroke, you get a list, and it selects the next item in it. Hit return, and you're done. The previous keystroke assignment has been reallocated to something to do with Full Screen, but if you don't use that you can reassign it.

Thanks, that does get me back closer to what (command `) used to do. Although, previously hitting command ` would bring up the file menu and cycle to the next file (or continue down the list each time you hit `, then upon releasing the key command it would switch to the selected file. Now, releasing the key command after manually setting it in the preferences, just leaves the file list open and I have to hit enter/return to actually switch to the file. That doesn't sound like a huge deal, just adding one key press, but it interrupts what used to be a pretty fluid workflow. I'm just not sure why this would have changed. Literally every other application I can think of, including the Mac OS X finder, (command `) cycled through the open windows in the front application.
