I have an iMac, Retina 5K, 4,2 Ghz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4, 1TB SSD.
Adobe Audition is running extremely slow. After each single click of the mouse (like moving the playhead, muting a track, starting and stopping playback or recording, anything) the spinning beach ball appears for at least 4-10 seconds. It is extremely hard to work, can anyone help me figure out what could be the reason?
In Activity Monitor the Adobe Application Manager is eating up 99% of the CPU, but forcing it to quit didn't solve the problem in Audition. I'd be very grateful for any hint!

Sorry to hear. FYI I'm running High Sierra (10.13.3) on a legacy MacPro that is not nearly as robust as your system (32 gigs of RAM). No issues here. No sluggishness, no beach-balling, no crashing. During normal usage Application Manager reports 10-20% CPU consumption. Of course that changes depending on the complexity of the project and/or workflow.
