Audition freezes when opening a certain session

Hey,
I worked on a session the last two days and were actually making the final tweaks before bouncing. Of course Audition crashed once again while I was "unfreezing" a track to change the EQ. Alright, it's Audition, this is happening like ten times per day, so I open it again and try to load the session. It opens the session, I can actually see the tracks and for about two seconds I'm even able to click something in that session but that's when the software completely freezes. I'm 90% sure it's a bug caused by two freezed tracks (the lighting bold) because as soon as the session starts to prerender them, it crashes. So, I tried reinstalling it, tried a different version, cleared cache, nothing works. I disabled all my Plugins (mostly Waves & iZotope) and I'm able to open up the session again. Great. I unfreeze the tracks and enable all Plugins. So, when loading up my session, I'm now able to make changes and everything seems to be normal again. Except that the settings on all Plugins are reset back to default. And when I try to open another backup from earlier today it freezes again. I have now a session that won't open and a session that opens but has lost all work progress I made in days. And I'm pretty sure it's because of prerendering/freezing the tracks. I've found some similar threads but there seems to be no solution for this. Anyone know what to do in that case? I'd appreciate it! Thanks so much.

Update: for anyone that might find this thread in the future - I found a solution.

The problem certainly seems to have been caused by prerendering two tracks, which caused one plugin to load incorrectly. I started Audition and then looked in the VST Manager by specifically disabling individual plugins to see which one was causing the problem and when the session would reload. In my case it was Antares Autotune. After deactivating it, the session could be opened again. I then turned off the prerendering (the lightning bolt) and re-enabled Autotune. Then a restart of Audition so that the plugin loads again. This will then reset to default, but I fortunately only had to reset the key and not start the entire mix from scratch.
