hi
i'm tring voxengo span plus , installed the trial version
may i ask a question ?
my audition frequency analysis doesn't match the voxengo span plus frequency analysis ?
in both case i play an audio file and on the left i had the adobe audition frequency analysys and on the right span plus
can somebody explain ? and is there a way to have the same results

They are pretty much the same - they're just displaying different aspects of the same signal.
There's a general peak around 5kHz in both, and you'd probably see the 50Hz peak too in the first display if you extended it that low. Other than that, they aren't the same because one's got frequency on a linear scale and the other has it more realistically on a logarithmic one. Also the top scale also has a relatively low FFT setting, which is why a lot of the detail of the lower one doesn't show on it. I don't know about the settings on the Voxengo, but it's certainly computed using a higher FFT size than 1024!

In the top left of the Audition Frequency Analysis panel Scale click on 'Linear' to change it to 'Logarithmic' as suggested by Steve and it will look a lot more like the Voxengo one.

You don't need any other one. The Audition one is as good as any other. It will show you all the information such a plugin is capable of. in some ways it is better than the Voxengo one since you can scan and store different up to eight different audio files and see them laid one over the other for comparison in Audition. Also you have all the Advanced settings to customise the results.
