I was working on a two-track spoken dialogue project and everything looked complete and together. (I'd imported the project out of a Premiere project). When I opened the multitrack to continue working the next day, one of the clips on the first track was missing its waveform. It looks like there's no audio in the clip when I know I'd been working on that section the previous day. It just sounds like I've muted the track.
I'm hoping someone knows a way that I can get my audio back because I've already done several hours worth of work in this project and I don't want to have to start over. The clip is not offline and everything is exactly how I left it when I shut it down the night before. I'm not sure what to do from here.

Shouldn't happen, certainly. When you saved the session before closing it, did you get any warnings at all? If you double-click on the clip, the entire file it's come from should open up in Waveform view. What happens if you do that?

Well, without knowing how you've transferred it and stored it, it's hard to tell. Incidentally, is this on a Mac or PC?

And are you using Catalina? If you are, there's a bug caused by Apple security which is prevening transfer from or to external drives. It's being worked on. The workaround at present is to store the files you're working on on the local drive only - all other bets are firmly off. Where did the first file come from?
