Question

Audition Multitrack Editing for 8-Channel Audio.

Hi -

I have a number of multi-channel files (8 tracks each) and I'd like to mix them in Audition's Multitrack mode.

Unfortunately, when I start a new Multitrack project, I only have options for mono, stereo, and 5.1 editing.

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks.

Those options are for the output format of your file, not the number of channels or tracks in it - you can add as many of those as you want. Go to Multitrack>Track, and you'll get options to add as many tracks as you need.

Thank you for the suggestion - I'm sorry if I was unclear -but I don't need additional tracks, I need to be able to edit multichannel audio files in their original 8-channels formats. I have an 8-channel speaker setup and I'm trying to design sound for it.

You could use Premiere.
