What is your audio interface?
Can you not use an ASIO driver or even asio4all (http://www.asio4all.org/) ?

Even MME is more up-to-date than WASAPI. Regardless of any other consideration, you shouldn't really be using it anyway on a modern OS.

You really should see if there is an ASIO driver for your audio interface and use that

Certainly for the Rubix44, ASIO should be available within the device class options - it should install with the rest of the driver. And definitely, on a PC, ASIO is the way to go.
