Audition will not record or play

I am using an audient ID14 mixer with audition. I set it up in audio hardware as Audient Audio USB ASIO Driver. I can see my levels when I speak into the microphone but when I press record it is not recording anything. Is there something else I need to set up too?

hi

assuming you are recording into Audition via your hardware using a mono mic (plugged into the connector on the rear of the hardware marked mic 1), you should  select Mono > [01M] Analogue 1.

by the way - your track "Voice Over" is a stereo track, so if you are recording in on a mono mic then you might aswell create a new mono track for the recording (Multitrack > Track > Add Mono Audio Track)

If you're recording in stereo (i.e. plugged into both your inputs 1 & 2) go ahead with the input [01S] Analogue 1 as pictured in your creen grab.

If you are recording in Multitrack, then you may need to assign the correct input on the Audient to the track you're recording. The image I have is from an internal device, but what you are looking for is the same, only with your Audient input selected:

I don't see the option for my mixer when I do that. Here is what I see. Do I use Analogue 1?
