Can I safely delete old files in Audition's Disk Cache

My Audition's Primary Temp folder (Audio Disk Chache) is very large (amostly 100GB) with files going back almost two years. Is it safe to delete some or many of those old files? Or even all of them?

My Secondary Temp, on a different drive, is completely empty.

You may safely delete every single file in there! They only apply to iterations of files you had open in Waveform view and in theory should have been cleared every time you closed Audition. Audition 3 had a manual clearing control for them, but that got dropped after that version. But after you've closed Audition they have no value at all.

We are still trying to work out what the purpose of the secondary temp location is, for anything...

Thanks, guys! I had a hunch they were deletable. I just wanted a second and third opinion, which you two provided. I'm going to guess that stuff just never automatically cleared due to crashes and such. But they're gone, with no apparent ill effects. Thanks!

I would never advise anyone to delete anything without backing it up
However, having said that my primary temp is empty and I would think that that would be the norm
Either back it up and try deleting or wait for others to chime in and advise
