Can't find CD? (Adobe Audition 1.5)

I attempting to write to a CD ... Adobe Audition 1.5 => CD Project View (tab) => Write CD (button) => message "No devices found".

The CD drive is connected to a laptop via a USB port. The laptop recognizes it as "DVD RW Drive (D:) Blank Disk. Please advise.

Have you actually put a blank CD into the drive so that your system knows that it is CD to write to rather than a DVD or no disc? Have you managed to do this previously successfully? Unfortunately I suspect that AA 1.5 is too old to recognise modern USB connected DVD RW Drives in present Windows versions.

Completelly wrong approach!!!

The software does not recognizignt he BURNING DEVICE!
In the past I have done thousands of Audio CD burning via Audition 1.5!

In the same time when you try Extract Audio from DC is workng perfectly!!!

Possibly this has to do with a Windows issue!
