I know this is a common problem, but I've read through many different threads and watched many videos, and none of them have the solution for my problem. Hoping someone can help.

My objective is to record a voiceover in Audition using my ATR 2100 mic. This worked for years, but now suddenly, Audition is not getting a signal from the mic. The mic works with other applications and an external recorder.

All the Audio Hardware settings appear correct...

Audio Channel Mapping appears correct...

I also tried a multitrack session, and armed the input to record, and then pressed the record button. The time indicator started moving, but no indivation of any signal from the mic.

I also tried updating to the latest version of Audition.

If it's a Mac, you have to go into your security settings and give permission for it to be used. Because apparently, Apple don't really want you to...

I'm afraid I don't have chapter and verse details on what you have to do, but generally this is what people seem to find when they've exhausted every other possibility.
