Can you automate effect parameters?

Is there a way to automate the parameters of effects like you can in Soundtrack? For instance, in Soundtrack you can select what parameter you'd like to be able to automate in each effect, like Wet / Dry, for instance, and automate using Latch or Touch.

Most effects that you apply to a Track using the Effects Rack in a Multitrack view can have some, if not all, of their parameters automated. If you click on the twirl down arrow beside the Read, Write, Latch, Touch box at the bottom of each Track header in the Multitrack view you will then see the Show Envelopes box. There you can choose which effects parameters to show and automate. Just below you then choose the one that you want to make active to place Keyframes and set the parameters. Thanks. I didn't see this option I guess since some of the reverbs apparently don't allow this function.

This is correct - the processor-heavy reverbs which take a significant time to calculate their responses to parameter changes can't use real-time automation - it simply wouldn't work.
