DeNoise Stopped Working in (v 24.4.1)

Hello,

I've been working with Audition for years and a few months ago I noticed that the DeNoise effect has stopped working in the newest version of Audition 2024 (v 24.4.1). Since then, I've had to downgrade to Audition 2023 where the DeNoise effect does work, and I'm able to finish my projects for work. I'm reaching out to see if anyone else is running into this problem, or if there's something that I need to do to fix this problem. I haven't tested any other effects in (v 24.4.1) since the DeNoise effect is the bread & butter in my effects chain.

Let me know if anyone else has encountered this as well, or if there's a solution that I'm missing.

Thanks,

Basic info from Guidelines:

- Adobe Audition 2024 (v 24.4.1)

- MacBook Pro 2023 - Apple M2 Max

- macOS Sonoma Version 14.5

Hi Bryan,

It seems to be working as expected in Audition 24.4.1.3 for me.

Just to confirm, are you experiencing this issue in the Waveform or Multitrack Editor?

And to clarify, you are talking about the DeNoise Effect, not Noise Reduction (process) or Adaptive Noise Reduction?

Cheers,
Paul

Hey Paul,

I was experiencing this issue in the Waveform editor, and yes with the DeNoise Effect.

In the preview editor, with Spectral Frequency Display enabled, it seems to show that the effect is applied but listening back in my headphones, the effect sounds like it hasn't been applied at all. (See Below)

I've also tried applying the same DeNoise effect in the Multi-track window and I get the same result. (See Below)

I also tried deleting the application and redownloading the same version, but I got the same results. I have recently been using the Beta version, and I have to say that it is the best version of Audition I've ever used, so I have a workaround I've been doing.

Let me know if you have any more tricks I can try, or if I need to clarify any I said above.

Thank you,

Bryan

That's an unusual issue. What happens if you check "Output Noise Only"?

Also, on a side note, I'm curious about what makes the Beta version one of the best versions of Audition for you?

Cheers,
Paul
