Hi,
It would be really convenient to be able to double left click on the name of a marker to change the name and type from a small dropdown menu. It would be a small change that would create a better workflow and match consistency with other Adobe products like Photoshop.
Hope this gets added. Thanks,
Jack

I don't really get this. If you open the Marker list, and double-click on the name of the marker, you can alter it. If you extend the list sideways, there's a dropdown for altering the marker type. There's even a field at the end of each entry where you can put a description if you want to. Isn't that enough?

You can do it from the Markers List, but you can't do it on the Timeline Track. If I could change them on the timeline track the same way I cange them on the Markers List, I could keep other tabs open instead of the Markers List. And I would never say that there's enough mechanisms to completing a task, hense the existence of hotkeys.

That's what I thought you'd say. It has been developer policy for a very long time now not to clutter up the screen display/ timeline with anything that could be avoided, and I don't think that's about to change in a hurry. On top of that, it would be very difficult to locate items accurately on a zoomed-out waveform with a lot of markers on it, rendering it pretty useless - problems avoided completely by using the marker list.

I don't see how it would increase clutter. Your zoom-in/out already reduces clutter by collapsing named Markers, and clustering/stacking them. You'd only be changing them while you have the ability to click on the name of a Marker, similar to how right clicking on a Timeline Marker allows you to change its name. I have a seperate issue with Marker Clutter, the inability to colour or timelock them to clips, but I don't think that would increase clutter, only usability. I think you save more space on screen when you don't always need your Markers Tab open.
