drums sounds triggered by recorded drums?

I have recorded drums and am not happy with the sound. Is there a plugin that uses the single tracks as trigger and creates a new track with only a library sound? for example, I want to keep timing and strength of the snare hits so the drummer´s feeling stays the same, but replace the sound with a better snare.

Thanx!

I wish I had known that years ago so that I didn't waste my time using it successfuly with Audition for all these years.
I suggest you look again - VMS is not what you want but rather this

Steve Slate Trigger is what you need - I use it all the time and it has been a life saver

This the sort of thing that music creation software would do, and I'm afraid that Audition simply isn't that - it's editing software. Even if you could find a plugin that would do what you want, it wouldn't work with Audition anyway, as the trigger outputs would have to be transmitted by MIDI, and Audition doesn't have that. You'd be better off using something like Reaper as a basis for fixing this - that's the sort of thing it's intended for.
