Edit two tracks at the same time in Adobe Audition

Hello,

i am a starter in Adobe Audition. i am doing a podcast and i have two tracks in the multitrack view. if i delete certain parts of the recording, i always want to delete it in both tracks. I tried grouping the two recordings which works fine. But i e.g. split the tracks and want to crossfade the two parts, i need to degroup the whole slices and regroup the once i want to move. is there a  better way to do this?

Thanks!

This might work for you. Group Clips. Select audio to be cut and use Ripple Delete Time Selection in Selected Clips. This will remove the bit you want to lose and butt up the remaining clips on the right to where you have cut on the left. Then you can grab the end of the clip and extend it to the left to cause an overlap that will be automatically Cross Faded on both Clips in both Tracks in the Group.
