Editing a phone call: My voice loud and clear, hers almost inaudible

Hello, I just bagan editing my very first audio clip for a class project to make a podcast. I recorded a phone conversation using my call recording app on my phone. It created an .amr file, which was readily converted to .wav by Audition. I have been using the call-recording app for years and in the past when reviewing recorded phone calls, the disparity in volume was always an issue but then again I wasn't using them for making a podcast but didn't think it would be insurmountable.

For example, my own voice spans the entire db range, whereas her voice tops out at about -21. I selcted a small portion of her voice and increase the volume to, oh, about -12 max, but it's still just barely audible.

So, am I doomed? I didn't do a test run because we hadn't spoken in so long, I wanted to capture our initial excitement. And there were some revelations on this call that would make my surprised reaction impossible to recreate. We're on separate coasts so in-person is not possible. 

To you experts out there, is there a way to salvage this convo? I'm attaching the converted .wav but I still have the original .amr, too.
