I've noticed a slight anomaly when editing audio after recording using Punch and Roll.
Recording with P+R is absolutely vital for me as I exclusively use Audition to record audiobooks.
Once I've recorded using P+R if I apply any edits to the tracks, such as dragging the end of a track to remove unwanted audio or ripple deleting silence between two chapters, Audition automatically adds a massive crossfade and each punch point.
This is most frustrating as I now have to go to each point and manually adjust the crossfade.
I have scoured the internet and the Adobe forums trying to find a solution to this with no favourable results.
I presume this is due to the Punch and Roll feature still being quite new in Audition.
I have checked in the Audition preferences, but the only setting I can find under Punch and Roll is the Pre-Roll duration. There is no reference anywhere to crossfade settings.
Please help.

So sorry to see you've had no replies! I've had exactly the same problem. I've now disabled "automatic crossfades enabled" in the Clip menu, and will see if the problem recurs in my next recording.

Another change I'm making in hoping to eliminate this issue; I've deselected "Automatically Crossfade overlapping clips" in the Multitrack Clips preferences screen.

Yes, sorry about the lack of reply - normally I would have replied if I'd seen it, but because of the forum software now, some posts slip through undetected, and there doesn't appear to be any easy way to detect unanswered posts unless I alter the filtering, which I often forget to do!
As for a solution, then yes, deselecting Automatic Crossfades should work fine. If it doesn't then report back.
