End of audio file only plays a repeated audio clip

Hi

I was timing some vocals for a song and everything was going well, until at the very end of the audio file, despite the waveforms being accurate as to what they were, are now only playing a random small audio (some random keyboard clicks that got recorded) repeatedly even in areas of silence. Is there a way to fix this and recover the vocals or is this an unfixable bug?
