Essential Sound Panel for Audition

New Here ,
Dec 14, 2017 Dec 14, 2017

First, I admit to being an idiot.  How have I produced and published 90 podcasts?  Today as I began working on producing another batch, I can't seem to open the Essential Sound Panel in the same way.  I used to have a great box that would sit at the right of my screen where I could click "dialogue" and then pick the type of sound or "music" and set the levels.  It's gone and I can't find it.  Help!

In Audition it's under the Window menu. Did you have it as a separate floating page of it's own or was it docked somewhere on the screen? Also you can probably get it back if you go to Window/Workspace and select Default.

Thanks.  I still can't get the essential sound panel to look and operate the same but at least I was able to find it thanks to your help.

SO what is the solution to this? I am having the same problem and am frustrated beyond anything. I've wasted an entire 24 hour period trying to find the answer on YouTube or tutorials and nothing at all! The Essential Sound title shows but there is NOTHING below it. No way to identify the audio as dialogue and nothing at all. I've tried defaulting the workspace and checking an unchecked the ES panel and I've shut down my computer and even checked for updates. It has literally stopped all progression. No one responded to this person's last comment; albeit 7 years ago I could really use the answer to this.

If just the title appears, I'm assuming that you have this as a floating window. If that's the case, then put the mouse cursor on the bottom of it (it will convert to an up-down pointer) and drag it down. This will reveal the rest of the options. This is working fine in the current version on a PC. Nobody's complained about it on Macs, so I'm assuming that it's okay there as well.
