Export/Import Individual Favorites and Presets?

Explorer ,
Mar 18, 2017 Mar 18, 2017

I would like to copy several custom favorites and presets from my workstation to my laptop. However, I don't want to lose the several different custom favorites and presets that are already on my laptop, which is what I think would happen if I simply copy Favorites.xml from the workstation to the laptop, overwriting the existing Favorites.xml on the laptop.

Ideally, I'd like to just sync the Favorites and Presets on the two machines, but that doesn't seem possible. Overwriting one file with another is not syncing.

Yes you are correct. Somehow you need to be able to combine/concatenate your two Favorites.xml files together as one. You could possibly do so using an XML file Editing app.

I haven't tried this for ages, but in previous generations of Audition, it was possible to pick up the favourites/presets files from another installation and 'drop' them onto the desktop icon, and they would be assimilated into your existing ones. Perhaps one of the devs would like to tell us whether this is still possible?
