Export stereo track that is only playing mono on speakers

Hey, I'm new to Audition. So far I have been using a stereo source and track in audition. Then I export stereo and the .wav is only playing out of the right channel. Probably an easy fix, just new and don't know what to do.

In headphones it plays stereo. When I play it back for editing, the speakers are playing it from both channels. After export it doesn't play stereo. Any help would be appreciated!

Could you explain a little further how you are playing the exported file when you hear it only in the right speaker. Does it look OK when you open the exported file back into Audition?

The 'default stereo input' setting refers to recording only. What you hear and how the output is routed is what may affect your exported file. Normally the output for each track is set to Master.

Where are you exporting the new audio file from, Waveform or Multitrack view? if you open up the new file into Audition does it show as a stereo file with one channel blank or just a mono file?

Exporting from multitrack view, the clips in track 1 & 2 which are both set to "default stereo input" channels. Then I use File > export > multitrack mixdown > selected clips

The thing that is confusing me is that when I'm working on the track it is playing from both speakers. I export and it is only in the right. Then when tested the track from phone to audio technica m50 headphones it is playing in both ears.

Maybe it is related to the setup I have for the audio. I have to m-audio speakers plugged into my sony tv which I am using as a second monitor but I don't know.

Was messing with my audio cord and it seems that was the issue. Must have been plugged in incorrectly. Thanks for the help ryclark, it has been appreciated.
