I can't think of a worse problem for an audio program to have, but here we are. 22.4.0.49
It said it was converting to 48khz since that was my audio output setting. I changed that to 44khz. No change, no play.
You know what, don't even bother to reply to this. I'm not even looking for a solution at this point, because I've lost all faith in Adobe. You suck, you've sucked for a couple of decades, and you'll probably continue to suck long after I'm dead. I just wanted you to know how much you suck.

Since I couldn't play the file within Audition, I just saved it as an .mp3 and then played it with WinAmp. It skips and glitches constantly. Again, I cannot think of a way you could've screwed up more. It's like you built a car that explodes when you turn the key. You're a disgrace.

I don't know why you are bothering to post this here. This is a U2U forum, hardly ever visited by Adobe staffers. And by and large, we don't have these problems with Audition, mainly because we understand how it works. And so, in the light of your request in your initial post, I'm not going to tell you what you misunderstood, and consequently screwed up.
And no, this is not much more polite than your original effort. If this is the best you can do, please stop posting.
