I import audio files, then save them as mp3 in the session.  After I edited them and saved.  When I went to open up the session again, they came up as offline.  When I go to link them, the files are greyed out so I can't select them.  They are mp3.  Please help!

To open MP3 files in a session, they have to be decoded and converted to wav files, as Audition - like any other DAW - simply doesn't and cannot handle the MP3 format directly. And if you don't save the intermediate files that are created, which are the actual ones Audition is using in the session, then yes they can only show as offline.
