Glitch when playing specific frequencies in the Waveform Editor in Audition

Hi there,

I've been encountering a glitch when selecting specific frequencies in the Waveform Editor of Audition.

I have playback set to loop, so I can highlight small areas of frequency (using the marquee or lasso selection tools) and play repeatedly to try and isolate problematic sounds.

I've been getting a little blip of full-frequency audio every time the selection loops however, and it's quite off-putting.

This started quite recently and I'm not sure if it's to do with a recent update? Anyone else been getting the same thing? I've attached a video which shows the problem.

I'm on a Macbook Pro 13 inch, mid 2012 (2.9GHz Intel Core i7), running OSX Mojave 10.14.6. My Audition CC version is: build 14.4.3.4

Thanks!

Could be any one of a number of things happening - it does it here too. What it sounds like is the audio buffer being cleared before restarting the loop, and that really should be silenced. If that's what it is, then it's a bug - there's nothing I can do to stop it on this system. I'll see if I can report it, with a reference back to this thread.

Hiya Steve,

Thanks for the reply. I thought as much it might be a bug. I don't recall when Audition was last updated, but may be a bug introduced in a recent update.

If there's anything I can do to help report it, do let me know.

Thanks,

Ivan.

If you go to the Audition community home page, you'll find a tab that says 'Bugs' at the top. Try posting there.

Thanks Steve, I've gone and done that
