Help, I lost my multitracks recordings in windows, 14 files missing

Dear All,

I had a recording session and this happened the first time for me. I had 18 files recorded with 2 inputs. I saved the file, restarted my computer, and changed my hardware setting. All of sudden, 14 files out of 18 files are missing. I already tried to find a backup file, temp folder and even roaming folder. Still have no luck finding it. Any help would be very appreciated. I am using Adobe Audition CS6 windows x64

Thank you so much, but here is the problem, all the C: files just went away and gone.... I have no idea why its deleted by itself

Audition doesn't delete files by itself so either they have been deleted through some other operation or through Windows

Did you have a system crash or Audition crash and then continue recording after that because that area shouldn't be used for recording files

Exactly what happened, the audition was crashed and I continued recording. But I remembered that I click the save button many times. So it won't automatically be saved?

Not good

When you restarted it probably gave you the option to delete the crashed session or something like that - yes was the answer you needed.

Because of this Audition was 'saving' the recordings to a temporary area which no longer exists

Unfortunately, they are gone for good

Hi Similar question. I have- well another member of the community located where the audio files should be. they are all there.... but WHERE and HOW can I find the correct .sesx or backup? how can I filter? the .sesx or possible ones i thought was it when opened may use the media i imported to the session, but it's not even close to the latest version. OR it still asks to link media even though it's right there in its face

i feel like the answer is close but i am past deadline and crash happened 2 days ago
