hi guys, I wonder if someone can help me out? I have a sound file of a cardiac monitor, going from normal beeps to a flatline, and I now need to change it to normal beeps into flatline and then back to recovery - normal beeps. i thought if I could invert the sounds, ie reverse it I could stitch both segments together to get a beep beep beep.. flatline.. beep beep beep sound which is what I am trying to achieve. However, I realise I dont know how to do this. any pointers would be massively appreciated... I am using audition on a Windows 11 Business machine, with 64 GB iof RAM. Audition version 25.0.0.47, the macghuine is fully patched, masnaged by our IT departmenrt.

Thanks

Sanj

Thanks for the kind offer mate but through trial and error I seem to have come up with a workable solution.

Can't you just cut the flatline and add the beeps after it?

Thanks yes that was the only solution I could find myself. Sorry I should have updated my question to say it is resolved. I have also found out how to reverse the sound in the waveform editor view, the reverse tool goes a good job of this and of adding in silences. I was finding adding in silences in multitrack view was a bit hit and miss. But in waveform editor it allows me to add silences if I need to add in an additional comment in a passage.

Thanks for your help mate. Its annoying how many of my adobe skills I have lost since my stroke 2 years ago!! Having to relearn how to do multiple things unfortunately. But its all an adventure I guess. Am currently putting time into relearning illustrator and indesign, next on the list are Audition and After Effects. Then I'll move onto the others.

Best regards

Sanj
