hi
i have watched this video on youtube
i tried with audition cc but without luck
it doesn't i tried the channel mixer , but i can't get any results like the video
i can do it easly with audacity simply invert the first track
i have wave, flac , mp3 320k , opus 44.1 320k, apple aac/mp4 320k and other lossy encoder
can somebody tell what's wrong ?
or what is my mistake?
thanks

No we can't tell what you did wrong, because you didn't tell us what you did at all. You don't use the channel mixer to achieve this - it's much simpler than that: Effects>Invert.
But I have to say that why anybody would be surprised that an MP3, which has been through a significantly lossy encoder with a bit reduction-based masking algorithm, wouldn't measure significantly differently is beyond me. I mean, really?

hi
i can't use invert in the multi track
I did exacly the same like the video
i extract an audio file with eac wave, converted in flac and in apple aac/mp4 320k and mp3 320k with the lastest lame.exe 64bit
i added the wave on the first track in the multi track
and the aac/mp4 320k on the second track
but nothing , can't obtain the subtraction for the wav from the apple aac file
i did this too load the wave in the waveform , invert -> insert in multi track
with audition it was so easy , loaded the wave , invert , second track the mp4 , and i can hear the differences and save
i would like to obtain wave or flac - aac = have the results
thanks Steve

"i can't use invert in the multi track"
Well actually you can, but you don't need to. If you double-click on a file, it will open in Waveform. You invert it there, and when you return to Multitrack view, you'll find it's inverted. But the reason you don't need to is that if you open the mixer panel, you'll find at the top of each channel a Polarity Reverse button. If you put the same track in two channels and invert one of them using that control, you'll get silence.
Oh, and I checked the Channel mixer version too, and that works fine. You probably got the settings wrong if it didn't. Start with the default, and click on L at the top. This needs to say that the L output is 100% and the R output is 0%. You should only invert the 100% channel, not the 0% one. Now click on the R, and do exactly the same thing for that. Whatever you do, don't follow the channel mixer settings on the video, because those are for the Audition 3 version, and it's changed since then.

hi
i did exactly what have you suggested
i tried mixer ,and enable reverse polarity , nothing
i used channel mixer with your settings
nothing
i guess there is sometime wrong on my windows 10 , sadly only cc 2014 worked great without a glitch ,but i have uninstalled years ago
can do it with audacity , and with reaper too
but no way with audition cc
i can record a video to show you that doesn't work on my machine , i will try on my imac too!

I doubt whether there's anything wrong with Windows 10, or the software...

If you're inverting an audio file you need to make sure to line it up exactly with the original. Any change in timing (even by 1ms) will not work. Here's an example of how it can work. You can apply this and, in your case, hear the difference between lossless and lossy audio:
