How do I delete the contents of my Inbox?

The "Action" menu on the items in my Inbox doesn't do anything, so it won't perform any actions. I have no need at all to save the contents of my Inbox, nor do I have the time to spend maintaining yet another collection of online forum messages and notifications I didn't ask for.

Please... How do I clean out my Inbox?

I'm afraid that Steve is right. I just occasionally make my Inbox appear empty by Marking All As Read and then ticking the Show Unread Only tick box.

Oh, I wish I could tell you... but this is a Jive forum, so there are loads of sensible things you simply can't do on it, and despite requests, none of them are ever implemented, so we gave up asking years ago. The best thing to do with your inbox is to ignore it completely.

Thanks, Steve. I see. So it's another example of a company claiming to value our participation and our feedback, only to dictate the way things will be anyway.

A similar thing exists on Facebook. Users can ARCHIVE notifications about various (mostly trivial) things, but they cannot DELETE them. And don't get me started on LinkedIn.
