How do I export and back up my custom Audition effect group presets?

I've searched everywhere but can't find the export settings.
If I reinstall the software or reset my system, everything will be lost and I'll have to start over?
This seems very inconvenient.

You’re right — Audition doesn’t have a super obvious “export presets” button. But you can back them up manually:

  • On Windows, your custom effect presets are stored in:
    C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\<version>\

  • On macOS, check:
    ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Audition/<version>/

Inside those folders, you’ll find .xml or .prm files that contain your custom effect racks and presets. Just copy those to a safe location (cloud, external drive, etc.).
