HOW TO HIGHLIGHT MULTIPLE CLIPS USING DRAG INSTEAD OF CLICK?

In the older Adobe Audition 1.5 I can select multiple clips by holding ctrl and dragging with the left mouse button. Even when I let go of the mouse button (if Im still holding the ctrl button) I can pick back up and contine dragging to highlight other clips as shown in the video.

In the newer Adobe Auditon, If I hold ctrl to drag/highlight clips it won't let me. I can only hold ctrl and click certain clips.

I would really love the solution to this because its a very helpful tool and speeds up the process when tryint to copy/past multiple clips in a chorus. ESPECIALLY after I already sliced up the tracks so now there's alow of clips. Thanks

Sorry, my mistake, you don't need the CTRL key. But the time tool, when clicked and dragged will draw a box and everything in that box will be selected, which you can then move or copy depending on whether you have left or right clicked in the upper bar section of one of the clips.

Yes, but a single swipe is not what the OP wanted. You cannot now make the selection in exactly the way you did in earlier versions - you have to use the slightly revised procedure.

You can still do this - it's just changed slightly, and admittedly you probably won't find it quite as convenient as it was. With the Move tool selected, just click on the first clip, which will highlight. Then, if you hold the Ctrl key down you can add more clips by clicking on them. If you then release the Ctrl key the clips you selected remain highlighted, and you can move them.

This change happened many years ago now, (after Audition 3) when the entire codebase was changed so that Audition would also run on Macs.

Thank you for responding. Yes im aware of that. I showed that in the video I attached. Is there anyway I can drag and highlight, instead of having to click indivual clips? Once I let go and try to drag again it doesnt allow me to continue highlighting. That feature was so superb in the older version. I really would love to do that with the new Audition. Thank you Mr. Steve

The previous behaviour is gone, I'm afraid.
