Hello all
(1) what is the best way to reduce BASS in an audio (it's too loud) in adobe audition CS6/CC
(2) Also if your audio file is too low in volume including BASS, TREP etc.. how do we using
Effect in Audtion CS6/CC to increase to its normal good hearing
your help is greatly appreciated
Best Regards
What you need for adjusting the bass frequencies is an Equaliser (EQ). There are lots of different varieties in Audition under Effects/Filter and EQ. Try experiment with Graphic Equaliser first which has sliders for easy adjustment of different frequencies.
If you just need to boost the volume of the whole audio file you need the Amplitude and Compression effects. Amplify is the simplest.

Similar to what ryclark said, I go to effects > filter and EQ > parametric equalizer and to remove some of the bass I drag the "H" down and to the left, creating a wave shape rather than a straight line. Mess around with the "H" and the "L" to try to get the sound that you want.

It would have been better to make this a brand new thread rather than adding it to a four year old one which was about a different problem.
However to increase the level of the recorded audio you have to make sure that you have enough audio signal from the source. Audition only records what it is sent by the audio drivers for your audio interface. So you have to adjust the incoming levels on the interface itself or whatever is feeding audio into it.
You can, of course, increase the volume levels afterwards in Audition. But that is then likely to show up additional problems like unwanted noise and hum etc.
