Hi I have some audio files and when viewed in windows explorer there are fields like Name, Title, Artist, Size

How can I edit this information in Audition. Specifically I would like the Title field edited as this is picked up by some audio players.

You haven't specified exactly what format these files are, so I can't tell you specifically, but the general answer is that all file metadata except for marker data is handled in the metadata window, which, if it's not visible on your system can be seen by putting a check in Window>Metadata and looking under the appropriate tab.

If these are MP3 files, then the information you need to alter will be found in the ID3 tab, but for other types of files you may have to experiment, as not all audio players look at the same data, and as you will see, there's quite a bit of choice.

Sorry forgot to add I have turned off Markers and metadata as it adds a '_01' to the end of a file name and I don't see any use for markers in a completed audio file.

But it is the Metadata that you need to populate the columns in Windows Explorer.
