Who do I add a second or two of silence to the end of a track. For example, if it is 5:04, I want to extend it to 5:05 or 5: 06. I am a beginner who has used Audition on and off and this has been an impedment to learning as I will forget how to do something. I used to know how to do it but cannot remember and am having no luck searching around in the program. Thanks.

The simplest thing to do is zoom out so that you see the entire session and then select an audio clip and drag it a little beyond the right of the visible timeline, let go and then drag it back to where it was

Or, if it's on a single track in Waveform view, with the cursor at the end of the file, choose Edit>Insert>Silence and select the amount you want to add.
