installing adobe audition 1.5

I recently bought adobe audition 1.5 from ebay and I have been trying to install it from a CD and after inputting the serial number, it also ask for a verification code during the installation. The package from ebay came only with the serial number but no verification code.

How the heck do I install this software please?

    First, I think you need to contact the ebay seller and ask for that code.  It is a very long time since I had AA 1.5 installed on a computer so honestly cannot remember whether a verification code actually came with the order confirmation for the disc, so was not printed on the disc sleeve.

    I don't think version 1.5 required on-line registration and activation but if it did/does I fear you will be out-of-luck!  If you read this thread, amongst many others, you will see that Adobe took the registration servers off-line several years ago.  This particularly impacted registered users of AA2 and 3, but they are able to download a special installer and serial number which allows them to run AA3 without separate registration.

    I don't think that applies to AA 1.5, however!

      PM'd ya buddy...
      i have used the 1.5 version of the program quite a bit, and find it easier to understand any of the later versions...
      I don't understand why they switched it so the app is subscription based? i just want to buy the program for a seperate computer that is designated for offline functionality... can we maybe get a re-mastered version of 1.5?

      the Decision of going to subscription based was a long time ago by Adobe. Now Audition is in that CC Subscription. Older Versions can maybe be used, but on newer Platforms it will be always harder to get it running. Hope that helps.
