I'm looking to split each channel out of my Pioneer XZ into an Adobe Audition Multi Track session so it's easier to edit each track from a DJ mix using an iRig Stream.....
But I can seem to get it to work. I use to be able to do this out of an older Pioneer mixer into Abelton Live.
I've trawed through youtube and can't find anything to solve this.
Please help.

It should work... the iRig should work fine with Audition (albeit only two channels at a time) but it is suggested on their site that you should use the ASIO driver. Even though it might not be strictly necessary it's probably a good idea, as Audition uses an ASIO-based engine anyway. You have to select ASIO as the device class in Audition's Preferences (Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware, and select the iRig as the default input.

I must be doing something wrong, I've set it to ASIO and have them mapped but it still records to both Audition channels.

That's probably the individual channel routing that you need to set up - you have to select a mono source per track, and then either the left or right, as per this screengrab. Select one side for one track, and the other one for the other track.

Yeah I did exactly that the first time. I suspect it may be the Irig Stream. I'm asking the manufacturer. I think it may only be the Pro Model and above you can split the signal. I thought I saw that written somewhere. But I'll ask them to clarify. I've already done exactly what you've illustrated so I suspect it may be a hardware limitation.
