For some time I've been experiencing weird behavior of loudness normalization.
It appears that random files from normalized batch become silent or are being normalized by ridiculous amount of dB (like -200).
This is the screen of random batch in normalization:
After sorting the files by ITU loudness value, there are files without any loudness and are basically silent.
You can see that there is no audio at all, but the length of the file is the same.
But, when I boost the file by 200dB, it appears that there is in fact some audio left, but faded in at random point.
These are just random speech files that I'm working with.
The issue can also appear as just a fade-in at random point, without the -200dB gain or the files are completely silent (digital 0).
I've tested this on different Mac, but the issues was still present. I've also tested it on files from different sources, that we're working fine with Audition CC 2015, but the issue remained.
I have the newest Audition version which is 2017.0.2, build 10.0.2.27
The issue is also experienced by my colleagues that work on similar systems and same version of Audition.
