Macbook Pro M1 Chip - Audition CS6 not working

Hi 

 

Ive recently upgraded my macbook to a M1 Chip Macbook pro. So today just migrated everything over & my CS6 version of Audition doesnt work. I know its a older version but only use it to edit & master my DJ Mixes, I wouldnt mind paying a off fee for upgraded version but customer service have said the only way i can use Abode Audition is to pay a montly subscription which I dont want to do. Can anyone help ? Thanks

You can always buy a one month subscription, do what you need to do, and then cancel.

 

Use that one month to do your mixing and mixdowns.  Can also use that time to prep the files to move over to a different software that doesn't require a subscription.  Audacity is free and may do what you want.  I hear a lot of good things about Reaper, but boy does it have a high learning curve!

I'm afraid customer services is correct; there's no way around this. Your M1 is 64-bit only, and CS6 is resolutely 32-bit software. If you'd bought a Windows machine, it would have worked fine as there's a 32-bit emulator in Windows. Apple, who always know best, decided to drop all 32-bit support completely...

 

And so for an M1, I'm afraid that the only option is an upgrade of Audition, and that is only available on a subscription basis - there are no alternatives on your chosen platform.
